Operation Greylord tells the riveting story of one of the largest and most successful undercover investigations in FBI history. Between 1980 and 1983, a small group of U.S. attorneys and FBI agents exposed extensive corruption throughout the courts of Chicago, IL.
To tell this tale, we relied on a heavy swath of interviews and historical footage taken from news reports. We were lucky to have a close collaborator in Terry Hake, the lawyer-turned-FBI-mole, on who's book this film is based. Hake provided us with court documents, pictures, and helped us shape the story and organize the order of events in the film.
